Gear

Like a true amateur, I started out with only one piece of equipment in my arsenal. Many pictures I show will have been taken with my Canon Powershot S90. A few of the earlier ones were taken with an older Canon Powershot that I no longer have, model name unknown. During my tenure in TN, I acquired a Canon Rebel T3i with an 18-55mm kit lens, which was used until the summer of 2015.

Before embarking on my first international trip to Europe, I bought myself a Canon Rebel T5 with an 18-55mm and 75-300mm lens, which is my main camera presently. Typically I use the S90 when I'm going on more of a hiking or running trip, as it is light and produces good quality photos. I use the DSLR for dedicated photography outings, and I usually bring my tripod, a Dolica 57" Traveler.

And some pictures are taken via cell phone

I organize my pictures using iPhoto. I don't do any photo editing except for what contrast/saturation/exposure controls that iPhoto offers. Although photo editing can create some great images, my true interest lies in making great captures. Therefore, any processing I do will be a limited to a little saturation and highlighting to represent what I saw with my eyes.
